Historic Fort Reno, Inc., is a non profit organization dedicated to preservation and use of the historical and cultural resources of Fort Reno. Its mission is to secure funding for restoration of historic structures, Visitor Center operations and activies, educate the public through historical interpretation, and establish those partnerships necessary for the long-term stability of the organization.

The purpose of the Main Street Program is to improve the quality of life by revitalizing the downtown (the center of the community) and strengthening the entire community through concentrated effort in Organization, Promotion, Design, and Economic Restructuring. The Canadian County Museum is rated as one of the outstanding museums in Oklahoma. Located in El Reno's Heritage Park, the grounds sit on the 98th meridian, which divided the unassigned lands in central Oklahoma from the Cheyenne and Arapaho lands in western Oklahoma.
